From 15 to 27 January 2008, Febiac organises the 86 Motorcar & Motorcycle Show under the name: the European Motor Show Brussels, 2008.
This name signals the ambition of Brussels to further strengthen its position as major motor show in the capital of Europe. Brussels is as a matter of fact Europe's first motor show of the year, and as such aims at attracting a larger number of product launches.
The purpose of the Motor Show is to be, over a period of 13 days, the showcase of the motorcar and motorcycle industries and hence to create a climate propitious to sales for over 700.000 expected visitors.
These visitors are traditionally a perfect reflection of the Belgian motorcar and motorcycle fan. However, lately more and more international visitors found their way to Brussels.
The European Motor Show Brussels 2008 will emphasize the major theme of Ecology.
Beginning in January 2007, the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) and the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will celebrate the centennial of their successful association in hosting one of the world's premier automotive showcases.

This year marks the 100th edition of the Chicago Auto Show, giving it the distinction of being the first North American auto show to reach 100 shows.
